Purchased the Bersa Thunder .380 for my wife. She doesn't like the heavy trigger of my S&W .38 spl revolver and doesn't like the recoil of my Walther PPQ 9mm. And, she's afraid of my 1911 45 ACP. She really likes the size of this handgun and it fit her average sized female hands well although she did have some difficulty operating the slide release and magazine release buttons with her main thumb and had to use two hands to operate them. Not ideal but she could probably do it with some practice. It is very accurate and even she was able to hit a 6" steel target at 25 yards fairly consistently without any practice. The recoil is light and reacquiring the target is quick. The Bersa Thunder is very oily out of the box which I don't mind. A quick cleanup and once over and she was ready to go. The slide is a bit tight out of the box but my wife was able to rack it without too much difficulty and it should loosen up with break-in. My wife and I both like the trigger. It's long and a bit heavy for her in double action which is great for chambered and decocked conceal carry. The single action trigger is just right. She also liked the safety. One thing she would have liked is a chambered round indicator so she could tell if a round was already chambered or not. It isn't small enough for pocket carry unless you have deep pockets. If it were, I'd buy one for myself. Overall, a very nice, accurate, reliable (so far) weapon at a great price.
