KEL-TEC CNC P-11 P-11 10+1 9mm 3.1"
[P11]

How do I start? I have a lot to say. Here goes. I bought the blued Kel-Tec P-11 from Bud’s. I had a glitch on delivery, but it was caused by USPS. I got very nervous because I was a first time customer, and I didn’t know Bud’s. I contacted them and Derek stepped in and straightened it out for me. That was great customer service, and very much appreciated. I received the P-11 at my shooting range. I polished the ramp, and cleaned and oiled it before I fired it. I also have a 12 round and two 15 round magazines for it that I used. All I had at the time was +P ammo, both FMJ and JHP, so I used it. This is the result:

The trigger pull was absolutely brutal, and the recoil beat me up (the +P ammo). After about 130 rounds, my finger and hand were so sore that it took nearly a week to heal. DON’T STOP READING! The accuracy? 3½ inch groups at 10 yards, the center printing 1½ inches to the left, perfect elevation. I found the rear sight easy to move, and then printed those groups perfect center. Twice, it didn’t feed rounds, but it wasn’t the gun, it was the follower sticking in one of my 15 round magazines.

When I got my Kel-Tec home, I dismantled it and my magazines. I polished the trigger bar and the hammer face, and sanded all the follower edges with 400 wet or dry paper. I cleaned and sprayed Teflon inside the magazines. I then dry fired every chance I got (with snap caps of course), probably about 1000 times. I have a Glock 19 with a 4 pound trigger pull. The Kel-Tec is now very close to that. It has a long trigger pull to reset, but it’s easy to get used to. Then I went back to the range. This is the result:

I changed my ammo and fired another 100 rounds, both FMJ (Winchester USA) and my intended JHP carry rounds (124 gr. Speer Gold Dot LE), and had zero malfunctions. I got consistent 2 inch groups, rapid fire, at 10 yards, and 3½ inch groups, slower aimed fire on a silhouette at 25 yards, all where they need to be. What more can you possibly ask for in accuracy? As far as fit and finish, what do you want, shiny and fancy? I’ve had many guns like that. I was always afraid to put a scratch on them. I don’t call that functional.

This is one awesome little beast. It’s small, it’s light, it’s easy to conceal, it’s dependable, it fires an effective defense round, and it has great capacity. I carry loaded with 12+1 and two spare 15 round magazines, in either an IWB or pocket holster, depending on how I’m dressed. I hardly know it’s there. Bottom line? This is absolutely the best concealed carry weapon I have ever owned, at any price. I could not have made a better choice.
