I just purchased this sw40ve from Buds 3-2-10, it showed up in california FFL on 3-8-10 its the first pistol I have owned and the first time I purchased a gun online. At first I was a little uneasy, but all that was changed after every email, I got from Buds walking me through the entire process. I got emails for billing, shipping and tracking, it took about 4 days for me to get it but I am located in California and I had to wait for the weekend, but still that is great. Will buy another from buds in 30 days:( ......(too much waiting in cali)
Now on to the sw40ve, I was looking at this model for weeks listening to every say thier piece about the "Sigma", I went ahead and bought it anyway thinking that it cant be all that bad......I was right!!! Although this is my first gun, I have shot a lot of others. The trigger does have some length to it and it is a little tough, but that said its nothing that warrents all the crap talking that goes along with the brand, I really do feel that SW has weeded out most of the issues with the previous gen Sigmas. I you have thought about buying one I would jump on it now, as of this writing they have already raised the price. Last week when I bought it, the price was $344 cash, now its up to $358 cash, some have bought it when it was $299! So the price will just keep climbing. Buy yours before it winds up the same price as a different modle(xd,mp). Also rebate is ending soon so it will be even more to shell out. I will post an update with shooting results after my 10 day is up(cali). I really do want to point out that this is a really good deal for this model, if the aftermarket supported it as much as the glock, or 1911, it could have been a cheap hotrod, but the powers that be want you to shoot it how it sits. Dont wait any longer, it just means more time wasted, I know since it took me a month to hit the button, somthing I should have done instead of reading "trigger coments" from the peanut gallery. Just Shoot It!!!
