I have owned several S&W stainless revolvers: .38SPL, .357 model 65, .44 Mag, and I recently purchased the 686P, 7-round version of this pistol. This is the nicest, most accurate wheel gun I have ever owned. Smooth trigger pull, comfortable to hold, and VERY ACCURATE!
I own two Kimber .45's and this weapon is every bit as accurate as the Kimber Custom pistols. I am considering selling my .45's to purchase the short barrel version of the 686P. I shoot frequently, and every time I go to the range, I have ammo-feed problems with the semi-auto guns. I have NEVER had an ammo issue with my S&W wheelguns. They will fire any kind of ammo: the good, the bad & the cheap and ugly. When Your life depends on it, choose a S&W revolver. THEY DON'T FAIL!
