Smith & Wesson 629 Classic .44 Mag 5"

This review has nothing to do with Buds. They have been and continue to be the best gun company I have ever dealt with in my 40 years of buying guns since I was a Navy Seal during Vietnam. Derek, Peyton and Ira will bend over backwards to satisfy the customer and Nick is a wonderful man.

My problem is with Smith and Wesson. This gun looked like it had 200 rounds of dirty wadcutter ammo fired through it. The forcing cone and the front of the cyclender were foulded so bad it was unreal. I have shot thousands of rounds through many revolvers and have never brought them back from the range looking this bad. Fortunatly my FFL dealer has a gunsmith who poslished out the front of the cylinder and forcing cone at not charge. The finish on this gun is unacceptable. The cylinder's finish is excellent but the rest of the gun looks dull making the gun look like a two tone stainless gun. How in the world does this gun leave the factory? I also bought a 629 V-Comp that was received in the same condition and I have posted essentially the same review

I have written to customer service about this and I will post an update later.
