Smith & Wesson 629 Classic .44 Mag 6 1/2"
by Wesley P
Date Added: Tuesday 17 January, 2012
This revolver showed up clean and ready for the range...so that's where we went.
It shot slightly left of center mast at 7 yards. I made an adjustment and it creeped over to center mast just like it should have.
She was dialed in with six rounds. I ran another 54 rounds through it just because it was so much fun to fire.
I only shot it in single action, as I prefer to shoot revolvers single action only.
I'm primarily a .45 ACP guy ( I have two G21's, a G30, a G36, a Springfield 1911 and a Para 745) and the recoil was maybe a tad more than firing the G36.
The S&W 629 Classic .44 Mag with the 6.5" barrel is very well made, balanced well ( as evidenced in felt recoil) and an absolute joy to fire. She is also very easy on the eyes.
Service with Buds was the typical mediocre service I've grown accustomed to (I've purchased probably 20 firearms from them, so I DO KNOW).
