Smith & Wesson 629 Classic .44 Mag 6 1/2" [163638]

I have taken this gun to the range twice so far, and have fired about 150 rounds through it. In short: This gun is awesome.
The look and feel of the gun are very good, and it's bound to get attention wherever you take it. It dwarfs most other pistols, and looks great doing it.
The fit and finish of this gun is excellent and the cylinder lockup is very tight, especially when the hammer is cocked. The sights are solid, and the gun's weight and long sight radius make it inherently stable and easy to aim.
My favorite part: The trigger. While the double-action trigger pull is predictably heavy, it is at least smooth and consistent. The single-action is what truly shines, though. I haven't measured it, but the pull can't be more than 2.5 pounds, and there is no perceptible pre-travel. This is the main reason I chose a Smith & Wesson revolver, as every other one I've handled has the same superb trigger.
In conclusion, I love this gun. I am extremely satisfied with it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a big .44 to have some fun with.
