Henry 10 + 1 357/38 Special Lever Action w/Octagon Blue Barr [H006M]
$718.00
by John H
Date Added: Thursday 19 April, 2012
When I first saw this on the website, it was out of stock, then apparently Buds got 30 in and they were gone in 10 days. Mine arrived in under 5 days at my FFL and when I checked the manufacture date, it was only 10 days old! Henry always test fires their rifles before shipping - mine needed a couple of patches run down the barrel but no harm no foul. You do need to know that tubular magazines don't like .357 wad cutter or semi wad cutter rounds. The manufacturer also warns about using aluminum casings which I verified with CCI Blazer. Blazer aluminum stacked in tubes under recoil can experience bullet set-back which can result in higher pressure, "which is never a good thing" according to Austin at CCI/Speer. That said, this is a terrific rifle. The plus for me is that I can use most of my existing stock of .357 magnum / .38 special and reserve the other stuff for my revolver. RNL, SJSP, SJHP, XTP, etc. The action is smooth and reliable. The balance is perfect and one fan is working on a speedloader. I would suspect that you could just buy a couple of extra magazines if you expect to be in a hurry. If 10+1 won't do the job, you're in over your head. This is great product and a great price.
