Bersa 380 Thunder Matte w/15Rd Mag
[THUN380PM15]
$346.00
by James H Date Added: Tuesday 16 March, 2010
I bought the Matte finished 15 Rd Bersa 380 Thunder Plus. It looks great - fits the

medium or large hand very well, is easily concealable, and is easy to disassemble and

clean - the price is right. So far so good, but there's more. Firing is easy - nice

trigger action and easy recoil. Accuracy - quite nice at 5 yards - not too bad at 10

yards. Beyond that, I just don't know - you may read another's experience at 25

yards which may fit well with my below evaluation.
The holes in the paper targets were slash marks, not round holes as with my other

guns - this tells me that the bullets were tumbling like a screwball in baseball

pitching and not spirals as in a NFL pass. I'm no armorer, but to me the riflings in

this gun's barrel appear to be mere spiral scratches rather than significant ridges

that can make a bullet spin out of the muzzle.
So, the gun is now at a Bersa authorized repair shop for replacement of the barrel

or of the whole weapon.
If the rifilings were even average, I'd give this gun a 5 star. Since this may be only

a defective barrel (if I knew this), I'd still rate it 5 star.
So, if the weapon comes back as I hope, it's a 5 star. Out of the box of mine, I have

to give it 2 stars - I'm hoping it's just my gun and not the usual Bersa Thunder 380.

I do think a weapon should spit out a spiral

Rating: 2 of 5 Stars! [2 of 5 Stars!]
