I'm not quite sure why it's labeled SKEET? I guess with the pattern and distance it spreads shot it may be preferred for that, I am not a skeet shooter. I chose this for shooting slugs which is what I understood was the correct choke size for that purpose. I will also shoot buckshot out of it. I still have the standard modified choke I can change if needed but that's not likely. This new Rem Choke Tube is brand new genuine Remington factory equipment and likely will stay in this also new Remington 26" barrel on my 870 pump, loaded and put up in the locker!
