Unlike the previous review, mine must not have been a Monday gun. My rifle arrived in superb condition and I was very pleased with the overall aesthetics of the rifle, from the wood and color to the action. It was 3 months before I had my first chance to fire the rifle, but when the day came the rifle performed without flaw. Iron sights at 197 yds put 7 out of 10 on a 2 inch target of a white pine marker stake. Attribute the misses to the shooter. The action, fit, finish and the remarkable lack of recoil (compared to my .308 Savage Model 12 LP) amazed even a skeptic like myself. I was pleasantly surprised that the ejection didn't throw the casings willy nilly and it was easy to find and collect my brass. In that 3 month waiting period before firing I went over every aspect of the rifle to be certain it would function as advertised. No complaints here.
