I couldn't be happier with the Kahr PM9. I ordered it from Bud's retail store based only on internet user reviews, which is a terrible way to buy a pistol, but it worked out very well. The 5 pound trigger is long, as required for safety on a DAO carry weapon, but the trigger is extremely smooth. I have large hands, so I need to use the tip of my trigger finger to comfortably press the long trigger, but it's surprisingly accurate for such a tiny powerhouse of a pistol. Recoil is brisk when firing 9mm+P loads but the design puts the hand closer to the bore axis than other pistols so the muzzle flip is less and the felt recoil isn't as bad. Follow up shots are fairly fast. I love the all stainless and polymer construction, with nothing to rust. The super hard black Tungsten DLC coating is extremely durable and I highly recommend it. For the past eight months I have carried the PM9 in a thin Kydex holster in my right rear pocket, 24/7, every day. I've taken it hiking, white water kayaking, etc. Blow off a little pocket lint and it looks brand new. This is one tough little pistol. Unlike other small full power pistols, the PM9 is somehow immune to misfeeds and malfunctions. I tried very hard to force it to fail in the 333 round break-in period and it was 100% reliable with four types of ammo, severely limp wristed, shot sideways, upside down, and even while jerking it backward to exaggerate the limp wristing. It shot everything, and it was very accurate! The Kahr exudes quality and you'll definitely know where the extra money went. Despite the high cost, I think it's a great value because it's very reliable, small enough to carry all the time, powerful as 7 rounds of 9mm+P Corbon, accurate, and so durable that I'll still be carrying it 20 years from now. Is there any more important gun purchase than your concealed carry weapon? Caveats: When shooting, make sure your grip doesn't press the mag release. Always use the slide release lever to chamber a round because grabbing the back of the slide with the off hand to use the "slingshot method" can cause a feed jam, so follow the manual and use the very nice slide release and you won't have a problem.
