Bought my Springfield XD40 from Buds a few weeks back and can't say enough great things about it ! My first Springfield, and my first 40 cal., don't think I could have made a better decision ! Very well made gun, smooth trigger pull, accurate, all around great gun ! Have put about 100 rounds of different ammo through it so far, and no issues at all ! Extremely happy, and I see the price is starting to go up, glad I got mine at $ 439 ! I'm thinking about the 3" subcompact now for carry. I don't think you can find a better gun for the money, or even at a higher $.
