I'm new to 1911s, but these mags are amazing. Frankly, I don't know the difference between these and Shooting Star mags. These had a Shooting Star graphic on top of the follower. Either way, these are great. Functioning has been flawless in both my Ruger and Para guns. There is an obvious difference just in the feel of loading these babies. Far superior to the factory mags for either gun and some Colt mags Santa brought me last year.
Unfortunately, some bastard got six of these along with my duty weapon and several other guns in a snatch and grab while at a restaurant with my family. I really hate providing nice stuff to criminals.
