Directly from the manufacturers shipping box, the cylinder was very hard to turn, and trigger pull was extreme in single and double action. Disassembly of the cylinder from the yoke showed very poor machining. Yoke shaft required sanding out imperfections with 600 grit paper, until the cylinder turned freely on the shaft.
Next, due to the extreme trigger pull, the right side plate was removed from the frame. When placed aside, the trigger spring, trigger spring rod, and trigger pivot pin were lying "out of place" in the frame. After removing metal shavings and grit, and removing rough and unfinished metal from the interior of the side plate, the model 94 was reassembled after re-bluing of some internal parts. Functions good, now !
First time i've ever had to repair a NEW firearm, just to be able to use it for the first time.
Poor quality control, as it should not have been able to leave the factory in this condition.
