I've been a Taurus fan since I bought a used 85. It is remarkably accurate and has a silky smooth trigger. So when I wanted a .22 plinker Taurus came to mind.
I found the 94 was very similar and even fit the same holster. Ordered from Buds and it arrved as promised. I was impressed by the fit and finish and couldn't wait to try it. (Although the grip is slightly longer than the picture here.)
Of 9 rounds loaded up 3 wouldn't fire. Tried again, same disappointing results. This was with Remington 'econo box' ammmo. Tried CCI and Winchester with about the same results.
Almost all the "bad" ammo worked fine in my Ruger Single Six. I noticed the Ruger put a big deep solid dent in the shell and the Taurus barely nicked the edge.
The trigger is also gritty and hard to squeeze in DA.
I thought maybe it needed breaking in but after 150 rounds I'm afraid this one is going back to the factory for some serious tweaking. Maybe this is the rare one that got past quality control.
