First off just want to say thanks to buds for the fast shipping, cant wait to order again ...... I got my pt40 in a box wich was in a bag with stick rust prevetative all over it. Took some time to clean it up.. not the worse thing just a incovenience. After looking over it i would say looked prety good but not perfect, PROS.. didnt know it would come with a rail ..and polished slide rod. (not black) CONS..one mag closes all the way and one has a gap... Only put 50 rounds of winchester white box throu it... no problems... recoil wasnt bad.... shot low.. but see how it goes after putting some more rounds throu it . Like it but not in love with it.

Great little gun. Have heard many stories about reliability of Taurus semi-automatic, I've not had one failure to fire with various brands of ammunition. Shoots everytime I squeeze the trigger and has added benefit of being .45 caliber.

Had my PT945 for a week and finally shot it today. Functioned flawless with win 230gr JHP. No problems with magazine drops like previous reveiwer, but did give it a full cleaning to remove all preserving goo put on at factory including the magazine well. Recoil was slightly greater than same load in my Beretta 8045 Couger. Field stripping could not be easier. In all a fine weapon and kudos to Bud's for handling all the sales volume in recent days. Fine weapon. Fires great, so far, with only 96 rounds of various ammo through it. (Yes, even Wolf) No FTF's, etc. The weapon is light with recoil similar to 9mm +p or .38 Super loads. I could not give it 5 stars because the magazines WILL NOT fall free. Checking on that problem.
