I was looking for a cheap .22 for plinking and saw Bud's great price. I already owned a Taurus PT1911SSAR also purchesed from Bud's, that has been a great gun. So evan after reading some negative reviews on the PT22 I bought it.
Very happy I did, the gun is built solid and looks great, the finish is durable. The rosewood grips are very good looking and allow for a solid grip on the little gun even with my large hands. I had two FTF with the first mag, after that it has been perfect. The front sight is some what hard to pick up against a dark target. A little red auto touch up paint on the front post fixed that. The only other problem is the grip screws tend to loosen up after a day of shooting, lok-tight should fix that. Accuracy is, well its a little .22 with tiny sights so dont expect much, but you will hit your target, maybe not the 10x but you'll get an 8 or 9 ring.
Be sure to pick up some xtra mags, only comes with one and it is a pain to reload (small rounds, tight spring) Factory mags can be picked up for under $20, dont buy the after market mags, stay with the Taurus mags.
I highly recommend this little gun and with Bud's price and service, you cant go wrong.
