I just received my Taurus model 94 from my FFL dealer today. Took it home and gave it a good cleaning and then went to the range and fired 200 rounds through it with no malfunctions of any kind. It was accurate fight out of the box. The hammer is a little tight but I think it will ease up in time. I'm happy with my purchase. Go Taurus. I now own a model 85 and a PT111 and am happy with Taurus weapons which are excellent for the money

Bought this revolver about 2 years ago, but didn't put any rounds through it until last month. It's lightweight, feels good in the hand, and it's surprisingly accurate. Unfortunately, that's all the good I can say about it. I got just over a box of ammo through this thing. I was alternating between single and double action, and I noticed after about 25 rounds that the cylinder was starting to bind up, making the trigger/hammer pull more and more difficult. It finally froze up completely. I had to wiggle the cylinder to get the release to work, and then I loaded it up with some snap-caps. I dry fired it a few times with no problems. I started shooting again with live ammo, and the same thing happened within 20-25 rounds. The cylinder froze completely. A few days later, I loaded it with snap-caps again, and started dry firing in single and double action. Again, the cylinder froze up after about 30 trigger pulls. I shipped it off to Taurus today. The customer service is another adventure, so far. I was expecting to have someone who could at least spell G-U-N on the other end of the customer service line, but I think I talked to some high school student instead. I discussed the problem I had with this Taurus 94 and also a PT 709 that I'd just bought. She told me that she could have FedEx pick up the 709 because I'd just bought it, but I'd have to ship the 94 at my own expense. Sounds stupid, huh? Well, I was then instructed that I had to be at home during a 5-hour window so FedEx could come get the thing. That's not an option, so I had her email me a shipping label instead. I printed off the label and took it, along with both guns down to FedEx, and asked if they had a problem with me shoving both guns in the same box with that shipping label. They didn't. It shouldn't cost them any more money, and even if it does, I don't feel bad about it. I guess all that's left is to see how the famous Taurus warranty works out. I'm pretty disappointed, though, as I'd always felt Taurus revolvers had a reputation for reliability.
