Taurus 627SS4 M627 Tracker 7RD 357MAG 4"
by Vito V Date Added: Saturday 30 October, 2010
I have a Model 94 and an 85 in stainless back from the early 90’s. They are both great guns. I needed something to fit somewhere the Mossberg 12 next to the bed and the AK on standby in the closet. Being an old Vietnam Vet I am not going to be able to shoulder those around in a few years down the road. So I settled on a Tracker in .357 around Thanksgiving last year.

First of all this is manly gun. And loud. People will come over at the range and ask what I am shooting. I have shot well over a thousand rounds of the Walmart 125 Gr JSP with no problems. I have shot half as many .38 special and .38 plus P. .38’s have no recoil. .357’s have very little recoil but loud. On a good day I can deliberately put them next to each other on the target. It is a heavy gun and there is no place on skinny me to conceal the beast.

I was looking to make a Buds Beretta M9 my next gun for the truck and I rented it today at the range and now think I love the simplicity of a .357 revolver over a 9 mm and get a Buds Taurus 65 for the truck instead.
