Springfield 9mm 3" OD Package
[XD9811HCSP06]
$495.00
by Philip O Date Added: Tuesday 09 November, 2010
The XD 9 SC is a great concealed carry weapon. I had been carrying a 9mm Browning Hi Power before getting the XD 9 SC. The XD much easier to conceal, it weighs less, and it carries up to three more rounds. I like the safety features. Size, weight, and safety features make it good for pocket carry or purse carry. I highly recommend it.

How accurate is it? Well, I took my wife to the range to try it out. She hadn't fired a gun in about 8 years. She managed to get 14 out of 17 rounds in the target at 25 ft the first time she picked it up. She later shot a S&W .38 special snub nose and completely missed the target with all five rounds at 15 feet.

The XD package is nice. The speed loader is great. The holster is nice for the range, but not too good for concealed carry. Same for the clip holder. I like how you get two clips. Some people claim that the larger clip sticks out too far for concealed carry, but I have found that with the right holster in the proper location and with the right clothing, you don't notice it. The larger clip also extends the grip and gives you a place to put your pinky while shooting.

The only thing that could be potentially disagreeable about this gun is that the grip is rather fat. If you have very short fingers and small hands, it could get a bit difficult to hold the gun and reach the trigger.
