This is a VERY nice basic 1911. The parkerized finish is excellent and everything works as it should. You don't need a tricked out 1911 that costs as much as a house mortgage payment. I have personally found that simple is always better. Also, customer service at Bud's is great!! They have always responded to my emails in a very timely fashion and are very knowledgeable of their products.
I highly recommend The Springfield Mil Spec for anyone looking for a good, solid,basic defensive handgun without a lot of bells and whistles. I also highly recommend Bud's for those of you who are looking for an excellent product at an excellent establishment.
