I've got to hand it to Buds Gun Shop....my on-line purchase of this 45 ACP Springfield 1911 Mil Spec was 5-Star, hassle free. Everything from the initial order and payment instructions to the shipping, went smoothly and transpired exactly as explained by Buds. I was kept informed of my order status and shipping occurred within the time frames I was told to expect. Once the order shipped, Buds sent me all the tracking numbers I needed to stay informed on the status of my order, even after it left their hands. The portion of my order that could come to my residence arrived earlier than I expected and was packed neatly with the correct items in the correct amounts as ordered. My new Springfield 1911 arrived at my local FFL the next day. Again as expected.  Upon inspecting my new 1911 it was all that I expected and a little more. The first thing that struck me was the quality of the Crossed Cannon Springfield Grips that came installed on the pistol. The sharp, well defined logo and checkering cut into the deep contrasting grain of the cocobolo wood had me second guessing a set of custom grips I am having prepared elsewhere. The second thing that caught my attention on this mil spec was the uniform parkerized finish. Not a scratch or blemish was found anywhere and I do love the satin look and feel it gives. The fit was perfectly tight as well. No rattles. Slide was tight to the frame as was the thumb safety and slide release. The trigger was as crisp as a factory heavy trigger can be with no discernable creep. VERY HIGH QUALITY for a "mil-spec" 1911. The "extras" I had not expected were what my Springfield came cased with......2 magazines, an extra set of grips (these are made of black checkered composite with the Springfield logo), a composite double magazine belt holster and a form fit "yaqui" style belt holster made with the same material... both of which are perfect for me to use at the range. Thank you Buds for delivering great experience and thank you Springfield for producing a quality product. I'll take it from here.
