The ultimate 1911. Excellent quality from Colt. Love this pistol.

Colt quality. I own 3 Colts so I can vouch for that. Works like your typical 1911,but keep in mind 10mm even in a all steel platform has some kick. Even hot 40 Smith and Wesson kicks less then range 10mm,but if you like recoil then you should be fine. A must for Colt collectors.

The Delta Elite is impressive: tightly made, uniquely furnished with the red insignia and Delta Elite rollmark, and accurate as can be, it is especially unique for the variety of 10mm loads. Excellent gun and great service from Bud's.

Nice weapon, functions great. Added extended beaver tail and flat mainspring housing, and wood grips. Few malfunctions in the first couple hundred rounds, but smoothed right out after break in. At the time of purchase the only model of this available, but since they've incorporated changes and have models available with extended beaver tail, better sights, and even wood grips for very little more money. Very pleased.

I had a few hiccups with my 1st 100 rounds (3 ftf's) but after the break in period this sidearm has been nothing short of fantastic. I'm sending it into Colt's custom shop for some new sights and a Cerakote finish, only due to the fact that I have personal preferences. The stock trigger is fantastic and the fitting on this gun is superb. The 10mm offers a wide variety of loads when it comes to ammo, making this 1911 a very dominant platform; hogs beware... Shoot safe, stay safe. God bless

I was so excited to finally purchase a Delta Elite. It saddens me to report that it was just an awful, awful gun! What non-existent quality control let this one get out of the factory, I have no idea! Struggled through 250 rounds, hoping in would "break in". No such luck. Two biggest problems were failure to feed and failure to extract, plus failures to go into battery. Usually I could not shoot more than two rounds (factory ammo, no hollow points) before one of the above problems would occur. Best was 5 rounds, never could get through an entire magazine. Sometimes all I could shoot was 1 round before a problem shut the gun down. Do NOT buy this gun, save your money!!!!! I sold it for a huge loss to a LGS after disclosing all the problems. Will never again purchase a Colt product based on my experience with this gun. Sad to say, I was hoping to be enjoying the Delta Elite for years to come, and ended up keeping it about two weeks after saving months to purchase the gun!!

Six long years so hard to get my first 1911 in 10mm at that awesome!!! The fit and finish is excellent, Colt builds great guns the best handgun I have ever owned a little stiff though needs to be broken in can't wait to shoot her!!!

This is the quintessential gun! A 10mm in a 1911-style handgun. What more could you ask for. Although I am in Afghanistan and have not had a chance to fire it, I can say two things at this point. Buds shipping is superb, as always AND the gun itself is nothing short of fine craftsmanship....exactly what you would expect from Colt. There is no doubt in my mind this was an excellent purchase.

Colt quality as always. Perfect fit and finish. Flawless function. A great gun. Will be in the family for a long time!

FINALLY - Buds had it in stock and I was able to grab it. A true beauty and shoots like a dream. This is a must have for Colt, 1911 or 10mm collectors.

Buds finally had one in stock! I ordered it on Tues and had it on Fri, no problems. I have only been able to shoot 50 rounds through it so far, but it was flawless. Buds continues to have great prices and the couple of times I made it down to the store the customer service was great as well.

If it was not for my good friend Derek at Buds Gun Shop, this gun would have been next to impossible to get. He was able to get it for me on a special order. This must be the most sought after 1911 on the market. Kimber maker a 10mm so does Dan Wesson but I wanted a Colt for a back up 1911 for wild boar hunting. Great gun to shoot!
