I've read some bad reviews on this rifle, so I thought you should read a good one. This rifle concept is good, and I've had several over the last 25 years, started out with a Charter Arms AR-7. The rifle idea and execution is excellent, however these rifles can be ammo senstive. I currently have one that shoots GREATwith 40 grain CCI Mini-Mag solids. Not one jam (till it gets dirty - just like other rifles). It's a great "first" rifle for the kids because it's so light. Its a handy backpack rifle because I can disassemble it and store it in my truck (or camelback) with two loaded magazines and reassemble it and start shooting. I recommend you borrow one and see if you like the feel - there's nothing to hold onto in the front, so I just pull into my shooting sholder with the front of the mag well. If you like the feel, and use the right ammo, you've got a great light weight, stoable, plinking, first, (dare I say it) survival rifle.
