This is a great rifle for what it is. Yes, the Ruger 10/22 takedown is better quality and more reliable. It is also more expensive and comes apart in two pieces. This rifle breaks down and stores in its own stock making it only one piece. This rifle also floats. It's a good survival rifle.
I got mine two days ago and have put 100 round thru it. The only issue I had was the way the rounds set in the magazine. Sometimes they nose down when you are loading and you have to poke at them until the front kicks back up. The rifle fired all 100 rounds of Federal bulk 550 value pack copper hollow points without issue. The spent cases looked like the firing pin was hitting them very well and square.
For what it is it seems to be a really good rifle, but not like a 10/22 where you are going to be able to put 100,000 rounds thru it. I would recommend buying it, breaking it in and then storing it where you want it like in a car, boat, bug out bag, etc (make sure to check you local laws)
Accuracy was ok. As with most weapons accuracy is more up to the shooter than the rifle. This one does have one problem similar to the old style Ruger Mini 14. It you fire too much too fast you will get the barrel hot and accuracy will suffer. Remember it is a survival tool and not a combat weapon like an AR.
Very solid buy in my opinion, and will looking at buying at least one more in the future.
Buds was perfect as usual.
