I recently bought another AR-7 to replace one that was lost during a divorce. I always liked it for it's reliability, ease of operation and size, but after re-attaching the scope I had, an old 4x, I realized; this rifle is made for a left-handed shooter! Just look at the gun: the slot in the handgrip that the receiver sets in has to be to one side or other of the centerline, because the tip of the barrel stores there when collapsed, Why it's pushed to the right of center, instead of the left of center, I don't know; all it serves to do is to put the center of sighting farther away from the shooters right eye. As is, I have to rotate the rifle CCW 40 or so degrees to get the cross hairs in front of my eye. I know that Eugene Stoner designed this masterpiece of simplicity; I just wondered if he were a Southpaw or not...
