Henry Repeating Arms U.S. Survival AR7 22 Long Rifle Semi Auto Rifle
[H002B]

Ok, I'm no weapons expert, but used to own a Charter Arms AR-7 when I served in the U.S. Army long ago, It was a good rifle, this Henry version, however, I personally think it is rife with design flaws and I'm surprised no one has called them out for it. First, the notch where the receiver slides into the stock, it is not symmetrical. That is, there is more stock on one side of the receiver than the other. I like my guns to be balanced, when you sight down the barrel the gun should not look like it's crooked or cocked at an angle. This design flaw is in all the rifles. And I could live with that, but....... On my rifle the hi-vis plastic front site is canted in the 5:30 position, with the top of the site in the middle of the clock and the bottom of the site at 5:30. And the site slides in and out of the notch too easily, I'm not sure if this site is designed to adjust for windage or not. I don't like it, too much slop. The rear site can be adjusted for elevation. All in all, MY rifle is useless outta the box unless you mount a scope.
