Just received my Henry Big Boy .45 Long Colt riffle a few days back. Took a little longer than usual to receive this piece from Bud's but then again with the Christmas Holidays upon us and the political climate I can see how Bud's might be having a hard time keepin up. All in all I have to give their entire staff a pat on the back for the job they do.
The Henry Big Boy .45 Long Colt is, like all Henry products, "Made in America, or Not Made at All". It is a beautifully made weapon. The fit and finish of this rifle is second to none. With the brass receiver, barrel band and butt-stock plate, this riffle really is a piece of American art.
The action is smooth, the trigger pull perfect and this gun shoots accurately right out of the box. Although a touch on the heavy side, this riffle is well balanced and has a really nice feel all around. Have run several different makes of ammunition through it without a problem. Cleaning is easy and, as written in the manual, you really don't have to take the gun apart to do the job.
I would recommend a Henry to any serious gun aficionado, and although it would look good on any wall, it's in the field and at the range where the Henry really excels.
High praise for an American gun maker who does it right!!!!
