Purchased the M&P because if felt "right". After almost 2600 rounds of FMJ and various HP, this gun is more accurate than I am. The majority of rounds are POI at POA up to fifty feet. Only two FTE, because of the tightness of the magazine spring in the one magazine. This gun is worth the money. I have used target ammo and expensive defensive rounds and they all perform up to expectations.

I purchased this gun about 2 months ago from Buds, at a really great price. This makes the 2nd gun from Buds and have not had any issues at all from Buds...."Great to Buy from". This makes my 1st 9mm but have had several Smiths over the years. This is hands down the best auto pistol i have ever owned. I currently use a XD 40 (tactical) and this guns is by far a better gun. I have put around 500 rounds thru the gun and have yet to have the 1st problem. Smith has a winner with this gun in my book.

Sweet! Got back into shooting after about 20 years off. Former LEO. Took an auto refresher course and had the chance to shoot two different Glocks and two different M&P's. Although I was never a fan of 9mm, the ability to get back into it on a budget won out. After shooting 50 rds though the Glocks, I switched to the M&Ps. The standard size M&P 9 simply fit my grip in a way the Glock couldn't. My groups were tighter, double taps seemed easier, everything was better all around. A couple of bad feeds in the first 150 rounds. I'd already cleaned it upon purchase but found that another clean and lube with synthetic made all the difference. Now, over 500 rounds through it and one double feed. Not too shabby. Looking at another in the compact version.
