Update:
I received the gun back from Marlin over 4 months after I shipped it to have the canted sights fixed.
The rear sight was canted 1/10" to the right and the I didn't know how to measure the cant on the front sight, but it was noticeably to the left.

Marlin mailed this gun to the wrong address TWICE!
The second time, the UPS man attempted delivery once before I noticed it was REMAILED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!!!
Not only that, but the individuals at Remington who now own Marlin are obnoxious, condescending and rude to say the least.
This was my first lever action rifle and I would like to personally thank Remington for making sure it's my last.
I'm disgusted with the product, disgusted with the service, disgusted with the reckless disregard in shipping error.
What if my gun ended up in the hands of a felon?! There's no ID check with UPS when guns are mailed back, only adult signature required!
I have found that a holdings company owns Remington, Marlin, and several AR-15 manufacturers. I will never purchase a gun from ANY of them again.
Buds was super great through the whole craptastic adventure and I'm buying 3 more guns with them by year end.
