I am a regular customer of Bud's due to customer service, price and quality of firearms available. One such firearm is Kimber's Warrior 1911. It is one of the few Kimber's that still uses the standard GI recoil rod and does not use the 80 series firing pin safety. The pistol reached me in great shape and within 4 days of my last layaway payment. Just breaking it in and the pistol does prefer Wilson Combat mags, either 47s or 500s. Had to failure to feeds from CMC power mags but no other problems. I highly recommend this 1911 for it's features and feel plus it is accurate (much more so than myself)

Got one of these a few months ago and just recently found the time to break it in. Buds, as usual was excellent and quick with shipping. The Warrior has nearing 600 rounds through it, trouble free. It is a joy to shoot, accurate and beautiful. As noted, the Kimpro finish wears easily pretty much as soon as it touches a holster and the magazine that came with the gun was garbage; both issues I've come to expect with Kimber guns. Paired with good magazines (Wilson, CMC) the gun runs perfectly with a half dozen different types of ammo, including some pretty rough hollowpoints that had given other guns problems. I am completely happy with this gun and Bud's service.

overall a good gun. the kimpro finish pretty much sucks. any corner that encounters friction will wear right away but not too bad. the barrel looks rough, like the stock was too small for the machining and should have been rejected on a visual basis. on the other hand, it is a tack driver. the performance makes up for the look of the barrel. there is very small pits in spots that will rust if not maintained. the sights are great but also need oil. i hit whatever i aim at, and that is the end all be all. money well spent. the grips are heavy, I put some vz 320's that are much lighter.
