I'm glad to see all the glowing reviews here for this pistol, but my experience with the gun has been anything but glowing. I purchased my Kimber Custom II from Bud's over a year ago. The service from Bud's was and always has been top-notch--no complaints there. I buy all my guns from Bud's. But the pistol has been exasperating to say the least. Malfunction after malfunction. I've had to replace practically everything on the gun, short of frame and slide, just to get it to function correctly. I've finally got it working, but I don't trust it to fire every time I pull the trigger. The only thing I haven't replaced has been the extractor, and that may be next. This has essentially become an overpriced project piece, for which a Rock Island would have worked better and cheaper. I would never trust this as my carry gun. My Sig's, all of which I've bought from Bud's, function flawlessly. My carry guns, which I trust absolutely, are a Sig P229R 9mm, and a Sig P220 Carry. Sigs never fail; Kimbers are unpredictable at best. I'll never buy another one.
