KIMBER 3200167 ULTRA COVERT II 45ACP

I really love this gun, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a .45 that you can carry easily and comfortably. It's hefty, but with the right rig, you forget about it very quickly. The 7 round mag is enough for me, and probably for you too. When you first pick up this little puppy, you notice that the fit and finish are excellent, and it slips easily into a jacket pocket.
Shooting the gun is great fun. It's very accurate, and I have run several hundred rounds through it. Each time, I was impressed with 1.5 - 2.0 in groups, (Shot at 15 - 25 yds) and you will ocassionally get the stray, not because of the gun, but because of limp wristing. I did have one hang on me while initially putting one into the chamber, but I believe this was because I just used the slide release, without racking. When I racked, I had no feed problems whatsoever. Takedown is pretty simple, but a word of caution, The slide stop is extremely stiff. It comes out easily, but it takes some practice to get it put back just right. On my first try, I put a nice little nick on the side of the gun, to remind me not to do that again..! No biggie, but the gun is not cheap, and it was bothersome. Make sure you line up the reassembly notch EXACTLY right, and you should have no trouble. The price I thought, was a bit high. A couple of hundred dollars cheaper would have really been better, but I can't complain as this was the first KIMBER I bought. All in all, an extremely accurate, very nice carry pistol. With the integrated Crimson Trace laser grips, carry meld design and the Tritium night sights you will have one very easy- to- find and very accurate to shoot .45 Caliber defense piece.
