I have owned several KIMBER RAPTORS full size and sold them to purchase other KIMBERS. I discovered that the raptor has a better grip with the serrations, weight and feel than the other 1911's. I have purchased another KIMBER RAPTOR and this one is not going anywhere. The action is very smooth and i am looking forward to firing this weapon on the range. Try the feel of this gun, you will never regret it and will be happy you did. Buds made this purchase go so smooth and I will be a return customer.

Best 911 I own and has never had a misfire after 800 rounds.

very few platforms fit in my hand and I was impressed with the balance.No problems with the mechanics and all in all a very nice tool.

Can’t go wrong with Kimber. Work up some hot loads and you’ll have a good bear gun ( not grizzly ) This gun performs extremely well. You’ll get hang ups if you use aftermarket non Kimber extra clips. Stick with Kimber mags No disappointments here. Well balanced 5 inch all stainless to absorb the impact. Your are will get used to the weight.

Marvelous handgun. I had shot several 1911s before, but this is the very first I decided to purchase for myself. As soon as I got it earlier this afternoon, I went and shot 200 rounds through it flawlessly. The operation is as smooth as glass, the design and finish truly exemplary. The only negative that happened was that since I was so eager to spend two hundred rounds within an hour, the 'razor' sharp trigger edges took off a piece of skin from my index finger! I was so over-stimulated that I hadn't even noticed it until my previously perfect groupings started veering one to two inches to the left. I then looked down at my lead residue covered index finger and saw a sizeable slit of open skin.... Next time I plan on shooting a few hundred rounds, I'm wearing gloves for sure :). If you get it you won't regret it!! Good luck.

Beautiful gun, arrived flawless and shipping was fast. Can’t speak to how it functions since I have not shot it yet. Buds was helpful when I wanted to change to a different serial number. Gave them a call and within 5 minutes the update was complete. This was my first gun purchase from Buds and it was an overall smooth and easy process. Here to confirm this gun is on the CA roster as of 2021 (I live in California).

I have been into 1911s for a long time.I have always owned several. Kimber definitely makes a good 1911. I ordered this raptor from buds on a Monday and had it in my hands by Thursday. The gun arrived to me in perfect condition. Fit and finish perfect and no imperfections. It really is a beautiful gun. I like the scales on the frame, the wood grips and the night sights.
I took it out to the range and shot one hundred 230 grain Hornady XTP HP that I loaded through it. This pistol shot flawlessly. And the accuracy was not bad from 10-15 yrds out shooting a metal plates.
It’s a nice looking gun and it shoots well.Same as all the Kimber custom II models.You will have to do some work to it if you want it to shoot like a match grade pistol.That goes for any 1911 pistol with a price tag of under $2500.
I gave it five stars. But I would’ve liked to give it 4.5 stars. I woulda took a half a star off because I think it’s a bit overpriced at $1300. I find the best deal in Kimber 1911’s is the TLE.Still, I’m not disappointed in the raptor. I will own this thing for years to come. And if you’ve got your eye on it, go ahead and get it. You won’t be disappointed!

I have been mostly buying modern semi-auto pistols for several years. I haven't owned a 1911 since I had a Colt Gold Cup I traded away decades ago. I handled this on a whim locally and thought I had to have it. I haven't been this impressed with machining in a long time... and the uniqueness of the Raptor style is eye-catching. Functioning is flawless. I added a semi-extended slide release as a personal touch. Everything else is there, including great night sights. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with a second one to keep it company... lol. As you read in so many reviews, Buds price was the best and their service is always above average.

Absolutely beautiful pistols so far about 80 rounds each and not one problem. As always Buds was fast and awesome

This is the best looking 1911 I have ever seen. Kimber makes some fine firearms and this one is no exception. It’s also a very accurate and comfortable pistol to shoot. If you didn’t know, Kimber only ships one magazine. That one may also not be a Kimber brand. The one I got was a Chip McCormick and looks and performs just like the Kimber version.
Bud’s really took care of me on this one. I ordered a different pistol from the qualified professional list. It was not in stock and I was waiting on it to come in. I found the same one closer to me and got it. Buds let me apply the money I paid on that to this Kimber while I was in the Lexington store. The Lexington team has always been a pleasure to deal with.

The kimber raptor is beauty and the beast , after shooting the firearm , my results were that of a custom firearm with a match grade barrel , groups were after seeing what the sighting pattern was literally hole to hole and a lot of the shots were in the same hole at 25 yards , very impressive quality and great looks

I’ve bought 2 of these. The first one was ok but struggled with HP’s and I decided to sell it. After more thought and the look of this beautiful 1911 I decided to give it another chance. I’m very happy that I did, it has been flawless. Beautiful 1911 and the price keeps dropping so you’re getting some value for your money.

My first Kimber and my first 1911. Just put my first 150 rounds thru and I had a couple FTFs. Research on 1911s in general has revealed that during the first several hundred rounds it’s not uncommon for this to happen. I am using Wilson Combat mags. Fit and finish of my Raptor is excellent and am very happy with my purchase. Easy to shoot with a great trigger.

The kimber stainless raptor ll is a nice looking gun,but I think kimber is not what they used to be and are cutting corners on quality in my particular gun the magazine release/catch wasn’t working properly,after a few hours of use started to get stock and not releasing the magazine and when you finally get it to work the release itself started to get stock and not catching the magazine resulting on the magazine dropping out of the gun after a couple of shots ,obviously poor fitting and faulty part,I decided not to send it back and replaced the part with an Ed Brown one , problem solved with $18 ,saved the factory one in case I keep finding issues and i have to send it back ,let’s hope not,another thing that bothers me it’s the main spring housing make out of plastic and cheaply painted to simulate stainless “really Kimber “ i paid after taxes and fees $1400 for that gun ,so for the money I don’t think I deserve none of that,there is better guns out there for the same money or less

Everything went smooth. I love the new piece. Got it in 2 days to my FFL as usual. Only there's a little scratch on the frame. But it's ok I guess because I'm not sending it back.4/5.

This gun is so pretty I dont even want to fire it. Buds was ultra fast! no problems as always

I have had this Raptor for two weeks and shot it for the first time today. A mixed bag of 45's including some steel case stuff. Out of eighty rounds I had one stovepipe and two failure to feed, all apparently attributable to the mag's. Otherwise it ran great. This pistol is a 5x5 stainless show piece, extremely tight slide to frame fit, (left it locked open for a few days just to see if it would lighten the spring tension). It gets top marks all across the board! Bud's what can you say? This is my 25th gun from them and not one hiccup.
