Great pistol, accurate and reliable so far. That said...
I have purchased over 50 firearms from Bud's with no real problems. I am a Kimber guy and buy and trade alot, I have 16 Kimbers at this time.Let me make it clear that I believe Bud's ships their guns the way they are recieved, unopened.
This pistol was covered in oil which was unusual and had an odd tag attached to the trigger guard with the serial number. When I got home and stripped and cleaned it I noticed it had light swirling scratches all over both sides of the slide and a serious idiot scratch under the slide stop. I was upset at first but I had accepted it and it was mine. So I took it out to my range and ran 125 rounds through it with absolutely no problems, and that to me is what is important.
So, after about an hour on the buffer it has a mirror finish much better than the the best stock finish on this firearm.
From now on if I have any suspictions I will inspect the firearm better before accepting a firearm. And again, I do not hold Bud's responsible in any way for the original condition of the pistol and am happy in the end with the Raptor which completes my full collection of all the Raptor models.
