This is the second RIA 1911 Tactical I got from BGS; my wife loved the first one so much she took it away from me!
She hits everything she points it at (really spooky). She says she wont dial 911 if there's an intruder; just 1911.
Now back to this one. On this deal I traded my Super Redhawk 454 Casull straight across plus shipping.
Side-to-side comparison with my wifes makes me think they must have sent me an upgrade by mistake, but they'll play hell getting this one back!
This is a great 1911, this one has an adjustable ramp rear sight
match grade barrel and trigger (3 lbs pull, crisp, no creep)
Ambi safety
and the logo on the slide is silvered.
I've run 45 ACP factory and handloads, FMJ, and some HP with only one FTE (load felt light when discharged).
Accuracy is excellent with sub 2" groups @ 25 yds, some groups are a single ragged hole.
On Mags:
I run ACT 8 rounds and picked up some Colt 7 rounds; all feed flawlessly without FTF.
This one came soaked in oil (which I approve, better oil than rust),
Slide was tight, so I stoned the rails, it loosened the slide but did't affect accuracy. With Hogue rubber grips w/finger swells it's point and click.
It easily outperforms my old milspec carry. I recommend you spend a few extra bucks and get this tactical rather than the bare bones model.
