I am really in love with this gun and it has sold me on the 1911 platform as a whole. Fit and finish is great, and I fed over 200 rounds through it at the range with no problems. It shoots more accurately than I do and the heft/balance inspires confidence. The only complaint is the sights - they need to be upgraded stat, but that isn't a knock against the RIA Officer since they are traditional. Everyone I have shown this to now wants one. As an aside the gun looks way prettier than in the picture with the emblem/words being etched in white - it stands out very nicely against the Parkerized finish. They come heavily oiled so be prepared to do a quick cleaning before going out to shoot it.
One note I want to make. These do not break down quite the same way as a Commander or Government size (the bushing isn't rotated). It is a bit too much to get into here but watch a video on how to field strip this or you will have problems getting the barrel out. Hint: use a paperclip or small hex wrench. Oh and Bud's was great about shipping too by the way. I wanted a quality inexpensive workhorse 1911 to carry and this one gets top marks all around.
