Ordered my Mosin on Friday and received it today (Wednesday in Jax, FL). Packed very well and well handled by UPS. Is it in excellent condition? Absolutely! All numbers match. The non-laminate stock has no marks worth mentioning, but enough handling patina to look great (zero cracks or dents). All of the mechanical parts appear to function well, though I will need to de-cosmoline before a real test. There is not even a hint of rust or pitting under the cosmoline. The barrel has been recrowned but not counter bored. The bore is shiny with distinct lands and grooves. I am sure that it will shoot better than me. The rifle came with 2 dual ammo pouches, sling, oiler, and a bayonet (never knew that was coming, but very cool). Perhaps the best thing though was the customer service. I called in the order as I have a C&R and was unsure of the online procedure. I spoke with a very nice guy who confirmed all parts of my order very patiently (all of this for a gun that is $129 delivered)! I asked him to pick out a great one for me. He chuckled. So, I do not know if I just got lucky or not, but I am not complaining, and I will be ordering a hex receiver if they have any more. Hope this is helpful. Last words: Garands were once $39.99...just sayin'.
