Received my Mosin/Nagant 91/30 this morning, checked head space and general condition at the FFL,beautiful furniture, all numbers except the magazine floor plate were original match.Floorplate was an arsenal scratchout and renumbered.Hardly any cosmoline anywhere, looked hard and long to find a little in the groove under the cleaning rod.Took it home, ran a brush and a few patches thru the barrel, shiny bore with crisp rifling, excellent crown, bluing has only minor rub near end of barrel, under the top handguard looks like brand new.Disassembled and cleaned heavy oil from inside bolt, lubricated, adjusted pin protrusion(it was correct before disassembly)and went to the range.Shoots a little high as expected at 50 and 100 yards, about right at 200,without bayonet attached.Windy day, hitting left a little, but hit all the targets and the bull with a little kentucky windage with open sights and 62 year old tired eyes.Love it.couldn't ask for more.
