This was the first online firearm purchase I've made and Bud's made it quite simple.
Upon opening the box at the ffl I found the bolt and bayonet had been taped to the rifle outside of the bubble wrap which worried me a little. the oil can and tools had also been loose in the box, but turned out there were no damages, at least no marks that were made in the last 50 years. ;) This rifle did not appear to have been completely submerged in cosmoline like others, just a nice thin coat. Cosmetically the rifle looks very good, not excellent, but very good. The bore I was a little dissappointed with as it had been counterbored 1.5-2 inches. and after getting it home and wiping the bore it also appears to have some pitting, though the rifling seems good. don't get me wrong, for the price its still ok. but i wouldnt call what i received "excellent", or even "great" , but id consider it "good".
