The Mosin-Nagant M91/30 I received looks pretty good provided you don't get any closer than a few yards. There is heavy pitting on the top half of the exposed portions of the bolt, bolt knob. The butt plate is pitted, as well as some pitting on the receiver forward of the bolt. The top of the received was intentionally all scratched up as if someone took a file and scratched away the original serial number & markings, although the bayonet # matches the gun number. The bolt fit is quite sloppy, and the trigger has more creep that I imagined possible. The barrel is pathetic - like looking down a deep dark well with a flashlight - the pitting is extensive. I'm not even sure it's safe to fire with the barrel in this condition. The wood is in good condition, but it's obviously suffered a heavy hand when refinished. Overall I'm quite disappointed because the gun was advertised as in excellent condition, yet it is in fair condition at best.
