Love this gun, 5 stars! Buds service was great as usual. The rifle was in good shape, the stock had no scratches or dents and the metal was in pretty good shape. Considering this is a 70 year old gun, it was in fabulous condition. Mine was a '42 izzy. The barrel is wonderful, plenty of life left in this old gun! I cleaned her up (please do your research on cosmoline removal and cleaning corrosive ammo or you could quickly trash the gun) and took it to the range a week later. For cosmoline removal on the metal I used Simple Green and on the stock I used Mineral Spirits. Also be sure to check the firing pin protrusion. Check out IraqVeteran8888 on YouTube for more info as well as SurplusRifle_dotcom_. I will say that the cosmoline removal was not hard at all, I had it clean within 4 hours tops. The accessories were more caked in cosmo than the gun itself. It came with 2 ammo pouches, sling, oil bottle, and cleaning tools. I picked up 880 rounds of russian surplus from AIM Surplus for 175 shipped! It was very accurate, but after 50 rounds I've got a good bruise on my shoulder from the metal buttpad, a slip-on recoil pad is definitely a necessity. I will probably pick up at least one more of these guns, they are THE best bang for the buck, period. Buy one!
