Mosin-Nagant M91/30 7.62X54R Very Good Condition [RI660V]
by LANCE D
Date Added: Tuesday 04 October, 2011
I had my 1942 model on lay-away and received it two days after my final payment.....This is my third or fourth gun purchased from Buds.....You cant beat their prices anywhere.....As for my Mosin, when I first saw it I almost rejected it because I know very little about rifles and know even less about 70 year old rifles.....It sort of looked in bad shape to me, but I bought it anyway.....Turns out my local gunsmith collects these and is an expert on them....I showed him my gun and he said it was very nice and in "typical" condition for a "very good" labeled Mosin.....He stood there talking to me and cleaning it for me as he talked.....lol.....He told me to buy some boiled linseed oil and rub it down with that and wipe it down and it would be just about good to go.......I took it home and cleaned it and dremmeled out the metal ring that the sling goes through and got it shining....I buffed the brass parts, rubbed it down with linseed and NOW IT LOOKS GREAT...!! Im very happy......I ordered a rubber butt pad and some stripper clips and ammo, and cant wait to shoot it.....These guns are very nice once you clean them up
