Mosin-Nagant M91/30 7.62X54R Very Good Condition [RI660V]
by Mke S
Date Added: Sunday 04 March, 2012
Safely received my Mosin and it cleaned up nicely. Cosmolene was soft (warm day) and came off easily. 1939 vintage with all matching #'s. One small rust spot on the screwdriver (like that's an issue) Very pleased with purchase and delivery. I am debating buying another so as to have a 'matched' pair to display. Haven't used it .... Yet. Remnants of old gunpowder round in the front of the stock under the barrel proving it has at least been test fired since reworking. Nice looking rifle. Bayonet #'s didn't match the rifle #'s and it will need work in order to fit correctly to the barrel. I may undertake this, but unless there is a large Nazi or Zombie outbreak, I'll probably leave it alone.
Well worth the price for a piece of history and I'm very happy with it.
