Mosin-Nagant M91/30 7.62X54R Very Good Condition
by Joe D Date Added: Monday 26 March, 2012
The rifle came dated 1942. It is an Izhevsk (Soviet Union) It's in what I would call fair to good condition. It needs some minor gun smithing and should be ready to shoot. ( I never trust myself with an old relic like this when it comes to safety, I would recommend a qualified gunsmith for that every time) As stated it needs a good bath. The bolt has quite a bit of play in it, but that should not be a problem as it seems to lock up OK. The most important is the spacing. I'm having it checked for (go) (no-go) and (field) (It will be test fired by the gunsmith first and if it fails it will be returned) The wood seems to be OK, no repairs or splits and there does not seem to be any metal fatigue. It came without the accessories and Buds gave me a credit for that. Nice! All in all it was a good buy. I will post an update as soon as I get it on the range and fire a few rounds out of it.
