Mosin-Nagant M91/30 7.62X54R Very Good Condition
[RI660V]
$179.00
by Mark A Date Added: Wednesday 16 May, 2012
So far I've ordered 6 of these rifles. The first three have been in excellent condition. The other 3 are waiting at the FFL to pick them up when I get back from my business trip, but I have no reason to believe they will be any different.

If you're on Facebook, we've started a Mosin Nagant group:

To the one gentleman who complained the bolt wouldn't close with ammo, I had the same problem on the first rifle my son and I cleaned. The best course of action is to use a set of head gauges to see if your headspace is set correctly. However, its likely that your extractor on the bolt face is simply tight and won't engage the rim of the cartridge. Here's what we did.

Make sure you lubricate the bolt thoroughly. I use Thompson Center Bore Butter. Take the bolt completely apart. As you re-assemble, fill every nook, cranny and hole with Bore Butter. As the Bore Butter squeezes out, wipe away the excess. Once you get it back together, lube the receiver thoroughly with more Bore Butter, insert the bolt and work it open and closed many many times. Periodically, wipe away the excess Bore Butter. You can really feel the bolt action become smooth. After this, put some Bore Butter on the bolt face and insert a cartridge into the chamber. Slowly, but deliberately close the bolt. A little resistance as the bolt face makes contact with the rear of the cartridge and the extractor slides over the cartridge rim is normal. My bet is if you do this, you'll find the bolt will close all the way. If not, then a set of head gauges will tell you the truth. If the bolt won't close on a 'GO' gauge, then take your Mosin to a good qualified gunsmith.

Good Luck!
