I recently bought one of these and like most others, mine was above "Very Good" condition considering it is a 1938 Tula manufacture. The stock finish is understandably a bit rough but the wood itself is surprisingly free of serious dents and no splitting at all. The steel parts are above reproach and the bore is shiny, sharp and pit free. I received the tool kit, two ammo pouch sets, oil can and a bayonet. As is typical, the bayonet is the only thing that has non-matching numbers and will require a bit of Dremel work to install but no big deal really. I had intended to refinish the stock and even went so far as to buy all the materials to do so but on further reflection, I decided to leave the stock as is since (in my estimation) the condition adds a bit of character. This is my third purchase from Bud's and every transaction has been flawless.
