Gun arrived at my FFL dealer with the front site knocked backwards at a 45 degree angle. I was able to get it back in position, but the gun could have been packaged better to avoid the damage. Still needs some work to get it secured again.
Overall, the condition of the gun was as advertised and I feel it was a good deal. The Mosin is a blast to shoot - literally, it sounds like a cannon. I'll probably buy another since the price is good and the surplus 7.62x54r ammo is inexpensive. I highly recommend replacing the original steel butt plate with a rubber one. They are only a few bucks and your shoulder will thank you.
