Just wanted to follow up after about 250 rounds of mil-surp ammo. I absolutley love this gun! Its funny how one of my favorite guns in my collection is also by far the cheapest. This gun is incredibly accurate, even from 150 yards and better! I stipped down the shellac finish and put a nice light stain with polyeurathane and man is the stock beautiful! Mine is a 1943 from the izveshk armory which is one of most common u c now days. The one with the star stamped on the receiver is from the tula armory and they seem to b a little more desirable to collectors but my izzy is really a nice rifle. I was surprised at all the stuff that comes with the gun especially at under 100 dollars. mine came with the original bayonet, cleaning kit, sling, ammo pouches, and take down tools! Even came with a cool little original oil bottle that they issued to the soldiers in the battle field to keep their guns serviced. These bottles have become a collectors item themselves. These guns are endless fun and one hell of a bargain so once again thanks buds and get one while u can, u certainly wont b sorry!
